Zweimal im Jahr schreibt die Bibliothek Andreas Züst drei Atelierstipendien aus – auch wieder in diesem Frühling.
Open Call – mit angepassten Eingabefristen
An majestätischer Lage auf dem appenzellischen St. Anton gelegen, bietet das 2016 ins Leben gerufene Residency-Programm eine ideale Arbeitsatmosphäre aus einer Mischung von Inspiration, Rückzug und Austausch. Ab sofort werden Bewerbungen für
einen Aufenthalt im November 2020 entgegengenommen. Ein besonderes Augenmerk ist dabei auf die angepassten Eingabefristen zu legen: Für ein Stipendium im kommenden November werden Bewerbungen bis zum 30. April 2020 entgegengenommen, für April 2021 bis zum 30. September 2020.
Die Ausschreibung richtet sich an in- und ausländische Kulturschaffende (Einzelpersonen oder Arbeitsteams von max. 4 Personen) aller Sparten (Bildende Kunst, Literatur, Neue Medien, Musik, Bühne, Design, Architektur, Film, Foto, bis hin zu angewandten Künsten und kunstnahen Wissenschaften). Das Stipendium ist jeweils für den ganzen Monat bestimmt. Als Unterkunft dient die Panoramaherberge Alpenhof, in der die Bibliothek seit 2010 beheimatet ist. Je nach Buchungslage kann es vor Ort belebter oder auch sehr ruhig sein. Der Aufenthalt ist selbstorganisiert.
Die Bibliothek Andreas Züst umfasst rund 10’400 Titel zu Themengebieten wie Wetter, Geologie, Glaziologie, Astronomie, Science-Fiction, Physik, Literatur, Fotografie, Kunst, Kitsch und Populärkultur. Gesucht werden Projekte, die sich mit der Bibliothek als Ganzes oder einem ihrer Teilgebiete auseinandersetzen. Im Zentrum steht dabei, wie die eigenen Schaffensschwerpunkte mit dem Kosmos der Bibliothek in Beziehung gebracht werden. Das Stipendium umfasst einen kostenlosen Aufenthalt, die Auslagen für die Anreise werden ebenfalls übernommen. Ein Zuschuss zum Lebensunterhalt in Höhe von 250 CHF/Woche kann beantragt werden.

Twice a year the Bibliothek Andreas Züst conducts an open call for three studio residency stipends – which is taking place once again this spring.
Open Call – With Revised Application Deadlines
Founded in 2016 and located at a majestic site on St. Anton in the Appenzell Alps, the Bibliothek Andreas Züst residency program offers an ideal atmosphere for working through a mixture of inspiration, retreat, and exchange. Effective immediately, applications for a residency in November 2020 will be accepted. Particular attention should be paid to the revised application deadlines: Applications for a residency in November 2020 will be accepted up until April 30, 2020; and, for a residency in April 2021, up until September 30, 2020.
The open call is addressed to national and international cultural workers (individuals or teams of up to four persons) in all disciplines (visual arts, literature, new media, music, stage performance, dance, design, architecture, film, photography as well as applied arts and art-related fields). The duration of the residency is for the entire month. Accommodations are provided at the Alpenhof Panoramaherberge, where the Bibliothek has been housed since 2010. Depending on the Alpenhof’s bookings, the lodge can be bustling with activity or very quiet. The stay is set up on a self-organized basis.
The Bibliothek Andreas Züst encompasses approximately 10,400 books concerning topics in fields such as the weather, geology, glaciology, astronomy, science fiction, physics, literature, photography, art, kitsch, and popular culture. Desired projects for submittal to the open call are those that deal with the Bibliothek as a whole or one of its sub-sections. We are especially interested in how the main focus of individual artistic processes is put in relation to the cosmos of the Bibliothek. The stipend award includes a free-of-charge stay as well as travel expenses to the Alpenhof. A subsistence allowance of CHF 250/week may be additionally requested.

La Bibliothek Andreas Züst offre trois bourses d’atelier deux fois par année – à nouveau ce printemps.
Open call – nouvelles dates de soumission
Établi dans le majestueux panorama appenzellois de Sankt Anton, le programme de résidence lancé en 2016 booste l’inspiration et encourage les échanges fructueux dans un environnement enrichissant. Les candidatures pour un séjour en novembre 2020 sont à soumettre dès maintenant. Une remarque au sujet de ces délais réajustés : les candidatures pour les bourses de novembre prochain doivent nous parvenir jusqu’au 30 avril 2020 et d’ici le 30 septembre 2020 pour les candidatures d’avril 2021.
Ces bourses de séjour sont proposées aux artistes ou personnes de Suisse ou de l’étranger (personne seule ou groupe de max. 4), proches des beaux-arts et actifs dans une large palette de domaines : beaux-arts, littérature, nouveaux médias, musique, théâtre, design, architecture, cinéma, photographie, arts appliqués et sciences s’attachant aux arts. La bourse couvre le mois complet. Le lieu de résidence est l’auberge panoramique Alpenhof où est aménagée la Bibliothek Andreas Züst depuis 2010. Le nombre de réservations à l’Alpenhof influe sur l’ambiance qui peut être aussi calme que très animée. Les boursières et les boursiers ont la charge de leur propre maintenance.
La Bibliothek Andreas Züst réunit près de 10’400 titres englobant des thèmes abordant la météorologie, la géologie, la glaciologie, l’astronomie, la science-fiction, la physique, les belles-lettres, la photographie, les arts, le kitsch, les bandes dessinées et autres sujets de culture populaire. Seront soutenus les projets qui traitent de la bibliothèque dans son intégralité et dans sa complexité ou qui s’attachent à un domaine particulier avec, pour point fort, la relation entre les recherches personnelles et le cosmos de la bibliothèque. La bourse couvre la villégiature et les frais de déplacement. Un subside d’appoint aux frais de séjour d’une valeur de CHF 250.— par semaine peut être sollicité.
