What does intimacy mean and in what moments does it shine trhough? Where does the deep need for closeness and interpersonal relationship come from? The thematic exhibition «Moments of Intimacy» traces such questions, both with contemporary and historical recordings. Sensitive nudes and portraits by well-known vintage photographers are juxtaposed with intimate shots by Dutch globe trotter and street photographer Marco Reeuwijk, supplemented by original prints by Steve McCurry. «Moments of Intimacy» captures moments of human vulnerability, devotion, and beauty. Moments that make all of us unique and valuable – even more in times of social isolation and cultural divide.

Was bedeutet Intimität und in welchen Momenten zeigt sie sich? Woher kommt das tiefe Bedürfnis nach Nähe und zwischenmenschlicher Beziehung? Solchen Fragen spürt die thematische Ausstellung «Moments of Intimacy» nach, sowohl mit zeitgenössischen als auch mit historischen Aufnahmen. Gezeigt werden sensible Aktaufnahmen  und Portraits bekannter Vintage-Fotografen aus einer Privatsammlung. Dem gegenübergestellt werden Aufnahmen des holländischen Weltenbummlers und Street-Fotografen Marco Reeuwijk, ergänzt durch Original-Abzüge von Steve McCurry. «Moments of Intimacy» hält Momente der Verletzlichkeit, der Hingabe und der Schönheit fest. Momente, die das Menschsein einzigartig und wertvoll machen – gerade in Zeiten sozialer Isolation und kultureller Spaltung.
