Borg bedeutet im Isländischen so viel wie «Stadt», und genau an jenem Ort, an dem einer der ersten Siedler - der in Island legendäre Skallagrimur Kveldulfsson - um 900 n. Chr. den Hof «Borg» errichtete, lokalisiert Inga Svala Thórsdóttir ihre gleichnamige Vision einer pulsierenden Millionenmetropole. Keine gewöhnliche Grossstadt allerdings: Hier wird der Nullpunkt eines utopischen Neuanfangs kreiert. In der Hamburger Kunsthalle stellt die isländische Künstlerin ihr Projekt jetzt erstmals in grösserem Umfang vor.
