L´Ala Est del Museo Cantonale d´Arte di Lugano accoglie regolarmente esposizioni temporanee, secondo la formula istituita dal direttore Marco Franciolli, privilegiando la creazione contemporanea ticinese e svizzera. L´artista e fotografo ticinese Gian Paolo Minelli, dal 2000 residente a Buenos Aires, espone un´opera video e una selezione di fotografie realizzate nella capitale argentina.
