Die belgische Künstlerin Ana Torfs (*1963), in ihrer Heimat sehr präsent, ist im deutschen Sprachraum kaum bekannt. Mit «Figuren/Projektionen 2000-2005» widmet ihr die GAK nun die erste Einzelschau in Deutschland. Torfs Arbeit mit inszenierter Fotografie, Diaprojektion und Installation zielt insgesamt auf filmische Erfahrung ab. Aus der Verflechtung unterschiedlicher Medien und dem Verschränken visueller und literarischer Erzählformen gewinnt sie eine ganz eigene Art und Atmosphäre der Darstellung.
