Die Neuorientierung Berlins nach dem Ende der tiefen Spaltung, die seine Realität nicht nur historisch prägt, bedeutet, dass hier mehr als anderswo vieles in Bewegung und vieles noch offen ist. Entsprechend vielfältig sind die Ansatzmöglichkeiten für KünstlerInnen, auf eine Welt im Werden Bezug zu nehmen. Die Ausstellung versammelt in diesem Sinn 27 repräsentative Stichproben ästhetischer Produktivität, die derzeit kaum irgendwo sonst so kritisch im globalen Horizont und zugleich optimistisch in der individuellen Lebensauffassung möglich wären.
