Contrairement à ses expositions précédentes, Sarkis a confié l'élaboration d'‹Hôtel Sarkis› au directeur du Mamco, Christian Bernard, qui a réinvesti la question de l'invitation propre à l'oeuvre de l'artiste et assumé un accrochage très affirmé. Réactivant la mémoire d'autres formes de présentation, l'exposition problématise les enjeux de l'interprétation.
