Sozialarbeit braucht zwischenmenschlichen Kontakt und persönliches Engagement, dann kann sie die Gesellschaft positiv verändern, sie mitformen. Dies sind seit der Aufklärung auch zentrale Ziele der Kunst. Daran gearbeitet wird bis heute, beispielsweise von der Italienerin Marinella Senatore.
