Die Laufbahn des in Basel geborenen Künstlers war so international, wie seine Bewegungen auf Bühnen, Bildern und Leinwänden interdisziplinär. Er hinterliess bleibende Spuren in Weimar, Dessau, Berlin, Mailand, South Carolina und New York. Eine überfällige Retrospektive ist nun im Migros Museum zu sehen.
