Die Kanadierin Laura Kikauka wurde 1963 als Kind lettischer Eltern geboren. Nach ihrem Studium am Ontaria College of Art gründete sie mit anderen Gleichgesinnten die «Funny Farm», eine Art menschliches und technisches Laboratorium. Seit 1992 lebt Kikauka in Berlin. Im Marstall zeigt sie ihr belebtes Environment «Time for Tomorrow» in 25 futuristischen Akten.
