La relecture de «Dan Yack, Le plan de l’aiguille» de Blaise Cendrars, retrouvé au hasard des rayons d’une librairie, incita Johannes Gachnang à se servir de la trame de ce roman exalté pour la «donner à voir» dans une transposition visuelle. Cendrars (1887–1961), originaire de la Chaux-de-Fonds, «Dan Yack», l’histoire d’une expérience existentielle de l’art et une exposition à Porrentruy: une triade qui va se jouer dans la concordance.
