François Schneider Foundation: APPLICATIONS FOR THE "CONTEMPORARY TALENTS" COMPETITION ARE NOW OPEN

The François Schneider Foundation has for ambition to discover, accompany and reveal new talents at the general public and to support the contemporary creation on the theme of water. Through the “Contemporary Talents” competition, created in 2011, François Schneider wants to support these creators through the acquisition of their works and through their promotion at the Foundation Contemporary Art Centre via an exhibition and the publication of a catalogue.

>> Every year, more than 1000 artists from a hundred of countries apply to this competition.

>> After selection of about 40 finalists by four Committees of Experts, the International Panel of Judges, chooses a maximum of seven prize-winners.

>> The annual maximum budget is 300 000 €.

>> Each prize-winner receives 20 000 € for the acquisition of the work, while an amount of 160 000 € is  devoted to the realization of a project (sculpture or installation).
