Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921–1990), famoso in tutto il mondo per le opere teatrali e i romanzi, per tutta la vita ha anche dipinto e disegnato con passione. Il Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel (CDN) ospita una mostra permanente che presenta la sua opera pittorica in relazione con quella letteraria. Il museo propone anche mostre temporanee, manifestazioni, visite guidate, laboratori per le scuole, pubblicazioni e un podcast. Progettato da Mario Botta intorno alla vecchia residenza dello scrittore e pittore svizzero, il CDN valorizza alcuni luoghi di vita in cui Dürrenmatt ha vissuto e lavorato.
Il CDN è situato vicino alla stazione di Neuchâtel, nel cuore del verdeggiante Vallon de l’Ermitage.
