Open call: 5 day blacksmithing workshop

Overview
In September 2024 the Euler Werkstatt will host a
5 day blacksmithing workshop in which the whole team will look into contemporary forms and approa- ches on forging. We would like to invite one person who is also interested in this kind of subject.

Invitation
The invitation is directed towards artists, designers, architects and anyone who has a project idea on the topic of taking forging technology further and realising it together with us in September. It can be a design for a sculptural work, suggestions for cer- tain processes or experimental arrangements, all with an open outcome. The idea should be novel, have something to do with forging and, if possible, be able to be achieved within the workshop week.

Forge
The workshop will take place in our newly equip- ped forge in Müncheberg, Brandenburg. Your pro- ject idea will be the focus point, which we want to realise together with you. The result of the work is yours. We will provide accommodation and catering for the duration of the workshop as well as working materials.

Application
Project presentations can be submitted in the form of drawings, renderings or written explanations. We would like to ask you to send us a corresponding sketch to september@berndeuler.com (each as a pdf, max. 10 MB, max. 5 A4 pages). The closing date for submissions is 15th June 2024. We will get back to you by 1st July 2024 with our decision re- garding the invitation.
