The Department of Fine Arts is inviting applications for two
Teaching Assistants Master Fine Arts, 50%
Start date: 01 August 2022 or by arrangement
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative and organisational tasks
- Teaching assistance and supporting teaching staff with lesson planning and preparation
- (research, conceptualisation, organisation)
- Gaining teaching experience
- Co-supervision of student projects
- General tasks (e.g. organising and conceptualising excursions and exhibitions)
We are seeking to appoint two candidates with independent artistic or curatorial practice and
experience and with an interest in acquiring teaching skills early in their careers.
The ideal candidates will have a university degree or an equivalent qualification in the visual
arts. They will be initiative and integrative, have good interpersonal and team skills, as well as
be curious, open-minded and willing to work with students and other staff. Candidates will be
required to relocate to Switzerland (preferably Zurich). They must have a very good (written
and spoken) knowledge of German and English.

The appointments are limited to three years. The successful candidates will be employed in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the Canton of Zurich.
