Die Ausstellung EMBODIMENTS stellt zwei künstlerische Positionen gegenüber, welche in unterschiedlichen Medien Fragen des Ausdrucks und der Körperlichkeit verhandeln.

Vor dem Hintergrund natürlicher Urgewalten stehen Gesten, Mimik und Posen aktuell im Zentrum der künstlerischen Praxis. Was geschieht, wenn die Ordnung der Natur in eine Wallung gerät und der Mensch auf seinen Körper zurückgeworfen wird? Caroline Singeisen interessiert sich mittels Zeichnung für räumliche und gesellschaftliche Situationen während Dominik Geis sich solchen Fragen durch choreographisch geschnittene Videocollagen nähert.

Beide Kunstschaffende stellen das Menschsein mittels verschiedener Medien ins Zentrum ihrer künstlerischer Intervention und loten so politische, gesellschaftliche Dimensionen aus.

The exhibition EMBODIMENTS juxtaposes two artistic positions that negotiate questions of expression and corporeality in different media.

Against the background of natural elemental forces, gestures, facial expressions and poses are currently at the center of artistic practice. What happens when the order of nature goes into overdrive and the human is thrown back to the body? Caroline Singeisen is interested in spatial and social situations through drawing, while Dominik Geis approaches such questions through choreographically edited video collages.

Both artists place the human being in the center of their artistic intervention by means of different media and thus sound out political, social dimensions.
