Miriam Cahn

(DE) Miriam Cahn wird heute als eine der weltweit bedeutendsten Künstlerinnen angesehen.
Nun präsentiert sie im geschichtsträchtigen Palazzo Castelmur ihre auf diesen Ort bezogene Ausstellung: FREMD das fremde. Die Basler Künstlerin, die seit rund zehn Jahren in Stampa lebt, räumt dabei elf Räume des Palazzos leer und setzt ihre, im Bergell entstandenen, Bilder in Beziehung zum inhaltlichen Leitmotiv der Dauerausstellung über die Bündner Zuckerbäcker.
Die Ausstellung ist mit einer Reihe hochkarätig besetzter Podiumsgespräche und einer zweisprachigen Publikation verbunden.

(EN) Miriam Cahn, an artist of international renown, presents in the historical monument Palazzo Castelmur an exhibition in direct reference to this site, ALIEN, the outlandish. Originally from Basel and since 10 years domiciled in Stampa, she installs in eleven rooms her paintings, created here in Bregaglia, all relating to the contents of the permanent exhibition about the Grisons pastry makers abroad. A number of panel discussions will take place, hosted by highly qualified participants.
A bilingual catalogue will follow onto this exhibition.
