Das ‹Sklavenschiff› bildet den Wendepunkt im künstlerischen Werk der Zürcher Malerin und Weberin Noomi Gantert. Dieser Bildteppich stellt den Übergang zu ihrem eigenen Schaffen dar. Zuvor hatte sie jeweils künstlerische Entwürfe ihres Mannes Hans Gantert am Webstuhl umgesetzt.
