Odilon Redon ist «Le Prince du rêve», der «Mallarmé de la peinture». Er ist auch der «geheimnisvolle Einzelgänger des französischen Symbolismus» und nicht weniger ein «aufgeschlossener Geist an der Schwelle zum 20. Jahrhundert». Als all dies tritt er uns im Kunst Museum Winterthur entgegen.
