Izidora l LETHE is a transdisciplinary and conceptual artist. Their practice spans choreography, sculpture and video, accompanied by correspondent drawing and writing processes. Their research-based work aims at expanding or eroding canonical histories and situating the body as epistemological orientation.
Their most recent exhibitions include Edition VFO (Löwenbräu, ZH), Werkschau (Haus Konstruktiv, ZH), COURONNE/KRONE (Biel) (2022), SHEDHALLE (Zurich) (2021), the Leslie Lohman Museum (New York City) (2021); Cabaret Voltaire at Monte Verità (TI) (2021), The Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM, San Francisco, CA) (2019-2020); San Jose State University; The DeYoung Museum (2017, San Francisco, CA) etc. Upcoming is a solo-exhibition at Et Al Gallery in San Francisco and the Swiss Art Awards 2023.

LETHE's work has been awarded several scholarships as they received a merit-based and full fellowship for their MFA studies at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) (2015-2017), the CIBC Emerging Artist Scholarship Endowment, Canada (2018), the juried post-graduation fellowship at Hunters Point Studios (2017-2018) and received both their BFA and her MFA with honors. LETHE is a BANFF Centre for the Arts resident (Banff, Canada, 2018), as well as an IMA fellowship program of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA, 2019) fellow. Currently, they are a BINZ39 studio resident (Zurich, 2022-24).

LETHE received their MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI, 2017) and their BFA from Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, ZHdK.

Transmitting their practice into educational frameworks, LETHE teaches embodied classes, art history and theory and critique seminars as visiting faculty at the University of Washington (UW, Seattle, 2020), the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI, 2017-2020), ETH Zürich Architektur und Kunst and currently at HSLU K++V Lucerne.
