Miniaturboote aus Gras, ein stimmgewaltiger bulgarischer Frauenchor, kühl-lakonische Wortvitrinen, enigmatische Readymades, Skulpturen aus Schokolade und Kirschenholz - die Retrospektive der walisischen Künstlerin Bethan Huws im Kunstmuseum St. Gallen spannt einen weiten Bogen. Mikrogesten treffen dabei auf Grossräumiges. Der feine Faden, der diese Vielfalt zusammenzurrt, ist die Frage nach Identität und Authentizität. Diese gewinnt mit der wachsenden Urbanisierung unseres Lebensraumes zunehmend an Aktualität.
