Die in Martigny lebende französisch-marokkanische Künstlerin Latifa Echakhch erregte mit Ausstellungen in der Tate Modern oder im Fridericianum international Aufsehen. Nun zeigt sie ihre erste grosse Schweizer Einzelausstellung «Still Life, Frame Still» im Fri Art in Fribourg. Die Künstlerin dekonstruiert bekannte nationale, religiöse und politische Symbole und Gegenstände des Alltags, höhlt diese formal aus und schafft dadurch Freiräume für neue Inhalte.
