Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2000 sind köfer|hess erfolgreich im Kunstbetrieb unterwegs. Gegenwärtig bespielt das Künstlerduo die Kunsthalle Winterthur mit einer raumgreifenden Wohn-, Büro- und Werkstattsituation. Nach Ende der Ausstellung wird die Behausung auf die Insel Lützelau verschifft.
