Der hannoversche Maler und Bildhauer Rolf Bier setzt auf die konkreten Grundlagen der künstlerischen Arbeit und hofft dabei durch wohlkalkulierte Eingriffe sein Werk öffnen zu können. Erklärtes Ziel ist es, die «Soziabilität des Materials» vorzuführen. Dass dies ein problematisches Unterfangen ist, kann derzeit seiner Ausstellung «Relational Panorama» im Kunstverein Hannover abgelesen werden.
