Die 2. Berlin Biennale zeige, was im Moment im Trend liege, sagte die Kuratorin Saskia Bos. Wichtig sei der Werkstattcharakter. Um dieses Labor mit 48 Künstlern aus 31 Ländern zum Klingen zu bringen, verzichtete sie auf eine konzeptuelle Leitlinie, beschränkte sich auf die Stichworte «connectedness, contribution, emphathy» und nannte die Polyphonie nach einem Satz von Alicia Framis «Not effect – affect».
