Im vergangenen Sommer hat Vittorio Santoro anlässlich der Eidgenössischen Stipendien in Basel zwei Fotoarbeiten gezeigt. Eine davon war Ausgangspunkt für die Installation «Split (Fragment 1–2)», die kurz darauf im Centro Contemporanea in Bellinzona zu sehen war. «Split» ist eine unabgeschlossene Versuchsanordnung, die um die politische Relevanz von Wahrnehmung und Erinnerung kreist.
