Theatersäle sind für Imagination und Illusion geschaffene Orte. Janet Cardiff und Georges Bures Miller schöpfen diese Atmosphäre in ihren Arbeiten voll aus. Die Technik ihrer Installationen ist bis ins Detail ausgefeilt und das Manipulationspotenzial ausgereizt. Darüber hinaus entsteht aber eine Energie, welche die verschiedenen Sinne ungewohnt gegeneinander ausspielt, sodass akkustische Erlebnisse zuweilen zu visuellen Bildern führen.
