Nachdem Valie Export bisher hauptsächlich als Medien- und Performancekünstlerin rezipiert wurde, gilt das aktuelle Interesse an ihrem Werk bislang auch weniger beachteten Aspekten. So war in Wien kürzlich eine Ausstellung mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Exports seriellen Fotografien zu sehen. In der grossen Überblicksschau in der Sammlung Essl in Klosterneuburg bei Wien werden neue Zusammenhänge innerhalb ihres konzeptuellen Schaffens deutlich.
