Marc Bauer a saisi l´occasion de sa récente exposition à attitudes, et l´édition d´un livre pour offrir une conclusion à la Suite d´amères séries de dessins qu´il réunit sous le titre «History of Masculinity». Les deux objets sont structurés en quatre chapitres, une introduction et un épilogue en forme de coda. L´artiste suisse vivant à Amsterdam y fixe au crayon noir d´angoissantes lignes de forces. Il révèle un faisceaux de violences, composant un récit complexe entre roman historique et carnet intime.
